10 Skyforge Tips for Newbies | Skyforge

Fevir's "Skyforge: 10 Tips & Tricks to Get You Started" is a great starting point for Skyforge newbies to gain their first handle of the game. Here are the main points of the video plotted out, and the video itself is below.

In Skyforge, you will walk the path from an immortal warrior to a mighty God, gaining followers as you fight to protect your world.

Your loyal followers will help you increase your power as you rise to become an Elder God. The best of the best will join the Order of Keepers and shape the fate of the world.

1. Prestige Doesn't Equal Power

It's a rough estimate. Choose gear with appropriate stats and abilities.

There are a lot of stats and estimates that gear can have in Skyforge, and prestige is only a rough estimate of power level. For example, the founder pack weapons are very low prestige, but people still find them relevant at that 20,000 to 25,000 prestige level. Once you hit the 25,000+ prestige level, snap new rings and weapons. Be selective, and you'll have a much more efficient character.

2. Auto Pathfinding

Let the game do the running for you by selecting a waypoint and hitting space.

Skyforge has a [Num Lock] key, but also an auto-pathfinding run. If you put your crosshair over a cross waypoint and press the space bar, you'll move to it automatically.

3. Waypoint Teleporting

Uncovering waypoints on an open map allow you to zip around.

If you're out in the open world maps, the jagged circle icons of the waypoints, once you've unlocked them, they'll turn purple, and through your maps, you can select them and thus teleport between them.

4. Disassemble All the Things

Don't sell gear. Break it all down.

In Skyforge, you want to disassemble as much as possible. Right-click in your inventory, hit disassemble, and do that as much as possible. Expanding bag space doesn't come cheap, and hold off until later in the game when you're earning a lot more credits, so disassembling will earn you valuable bag space. You can use other classes for storage space. If you have a weapon for another class that you don't want to lose, then just swap to that class. Use your classes like storage systems.

5. Prioritize Upgrades

They effect all gear put into that slow. Easily worth it up until rank 6.

Upgrades the slots for your equipment quickly. They're a great inventory of resources until about rank 6 when they start requiring way more than the return you get.

6. Plan Out Your Atlas

Don't just put points in willy nilly. Have a goal and work towards it.

At least roughly plan out your Skyforge ascension atlas. Look at where and what you want from the atlas, whether it's God-hood, or a new class, etc. There are a lot of nodes to travel, so if you plan out your path, you can save a lot of time in unlocking that path.

7. Pathfind in the Atlas by Right-Clicking

There will be a blue line showing you the path you'll be taking very clearly (make sure you're zoomed in enough)

8. Try It Before You Buy It

Try out all the classes in the training hall before you plan to unlock them and earn some rad costumes while you're at it.

The training hall is a mission that lets you mess around with other classes that you mightn't have unlocked, and will unlock other costumes for you to wear when you've completed them. Some classes come with a headpiece you can wear to show off your prowess once you've beaten the bosses.

9. A Dash Is More Than A Dash

A dash cancels animations.

The most powerful feature of the dash in Skyforge is that it breaks animations and casting. Keep the dash handy to break animations if you need to move quickly.

10. Spark Cap

In the currency list, you will see how many sparks, credits and particles you're able to earn for that week. The number listed will count down, and Skyforge only lets you collect these and progress a certain amount each week. Once that limit is reached, those rewards are replaced with the rewards listed in the right column. At a certain point, you'll be unable to obtain items you might need.

The limits increase the longer the account is active, to act as a catch-up mechanic. So don't sweat it if you don't hit that cap every week.
